Wiley - The Godfather of Grime
Arguably the most influential musician on the UK Grime scene, WILEY has been either directly responsible for or indirectly influenced the careers of nearly every artist to come through the scene.
Whether it’s producing beats for, or nurturing younger talent like Tinchy Stryder, JME, Skepta, Doctor, Jammer and most notably Dizzee Rascal, or being involved in memorable clashes with sparring partners such as Lethal B, Kano, Durrty Goodz, Sharky Major, Bashy and Nasty Jack, Wiley has influenced a large number of artists who have gone on to make their mark in the Grime scene.
Crossing over to the mainstream and scoring a massive UK hit with the track “Wearing My Rolex”, Wiley has brought his unique Eski Beat sound to the world and cemented himself as one of the most innovative producers in British electronic music.
Force Vomit
The sordid saga that is the Vorce Fomit story started in late 1993 when four night-shift taxi drivers decided to take musical matters into their own hands and start their own band. This motley crue of treble spankers has had many line-up changes and messy misadventures since then - with one thing in common - they still can’t play their instruments properly.
Despite charming obstacles like being expected to play for free 90% of the time (and in the few instance when they do get moolah, get labelled ’sellout’ by dogmatic scenesters) and a media that tries its best to pretend ‘local music’ doesn’t exist (and in the few instance when they do get exposure, get labelled ’sellout’ by dogmatic scenesters), these style-deprived shenanigans are here to stay.

Finally, the Gunners will be releasing their forever-delayed new album, Chinese Democracy next month. According to media report, they will release their album on 23 Nov in the States, and 25 Nov worldwide.
GNR’s front man Axl Rose has been working on this album for 14 years (serious?), and they have been touring with various/many different musicians since the new millenium. Still holding my breath for the original line-up to reform, that would really be the greatest conspirarcy inc. we never had.
